SWEDISH MASSAGE:
Swedish massage increases the flow of oxygen in the blood and releases toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage flushes the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It also increases circulation without increasing heart load and stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE:
Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension with the use of slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. Drinking plenty of water will decrease soreness.
MYOFACIAL RELEASE:
Myofascial Release is stretching of the fascia. This stretching technique is used to treat clients with a variety of soft tissue problems.
PREGNANCY MASSAGE:
Massage during pregnancy is therapeutic bodywork which focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of the childbirth experience. Pregnancy massage can be done in different ways. Pregnant women may lie on their sides to be massaged.
MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE:
Manual lymph drainage is effective through the pumping and stretching effect on the lymph vessels. Manual lymph drainage stimulates contractions of the lymph vessels, which in turn assist the movement of lymph forward. This action drains connective tissues.
CONNECTIVE TISSUE MASSAGE:
Connective Tissue Massage (CTM) is a dynamic approach that releases myofascial restrictions more effectively than any other technique available. CTM relieves chronic tension, increases ease of movement, improves posture, and enhances self-awareness. These results are often achieved with remarkable efficiency, providing immediate relief from symptoms without requiring excessive force. Because of this, CTM can benefit almost anyone and is useful in a wide variety of circumstances ranging from accidents to illnesses to managing the stresses of daily life.
ACUPRESSURE:
Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same points, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses the gentle but firm pressure of hands.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY:
Trigger point therapy is a type of massage therapy that addresses stabbing muscle pains which can occur at various points in the body called trigger points. Trigger point therapy is related to myofascial release, another type of massage therapy which addresses muscle tension and release, although trigger point therapy tends to be more invasive. Trigger point therapy often has positive benefits for sufferers from chronic pain, because the therapy aims to eliminate painful areas, rather than treating surface tension or inflammation.
